Tim Burton's The Legend of Zelda by KinokoKoneko Tim Burton's The Legend of Zelda by KinokoKoneko
...Or something like that anyway!

I made this a few months ago but only just got around to taking a picture, I was attempting to make Link in Tim Burton's style, I didn't do too bad did I?
Unfortunately I didn't make the armature quite strong enough so his legs bent went he went in the oven, so he's leaning a little more backwards than intended.
I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture but I dirtied up his usually pristine whites, I don't know how he manages to keep so clean while saving the world! just imagine him slogging through a swamp or something, his lantern so filthy it's barely worth using. (Yes that's a lantern. also a wooden sword in the other hand.)

Made with super sculpey over a foil and wire armature, painted in acrylics.

Link, the legend of zelda and all associated stuff belong to nintendo, Tim burton belongs to himself. This model is mine, no touchy!

I would like to see Tim Burton tackle this kind of thing, he did well with batman and this has elements he would thrive with.

You did very well at copying his style, nice job! One thing though, the feet (and hands) in his movies are very tiny! I remember watching a creator's commentary by one of the artists on Corpse Bride, and he mentioned that it was more difficult with barely anything to stand Victor on. The boots and gloves make those exceptions in my eyes, and this is so incredible!!

Yeah I had to make them bigger due to him being unable to stand or hold things :D Victors feet are teensy after all! I made this over a year ago now, hopefully my anatomy skills have improved at least a little since then if I ever try another Burtonesque character.

This is seriously inventive! It completely matches Tim Burton's style, especially for the darker Zelda games like Twilight Princess. I love Link's expression too; it kind of reminds me of that scene in The Nightmare Before Christmas when the boy pulls the severed head out of the box!

A Tim Burton style Redead would be the most horrifying thing in the history of horrifying things! Hope Link doesn't pee his tunic when he encounters one, alone in the dark.

I'm thinking either OoT or WW redead (WW might be creepier). Although, Tim Burton can outdo it in creepiness if he made his version of OoT's dead hand. You know, that white corpse that hides in the ground, with the arms that grab you. Actually, he should just remake Majora's Mask in his style to create constant nightmare fuel.

I thought his little leaning back thing was great, Tim Burton often have people who lean while they walk so just adds more character.
Agreed on the trousers, he must carry around Daz or something haha (:
I love the lantern :D

I think he's one of your best sculptures yet! You seem to get better and better with each one :)
I thought he was meant to be leaning back like that when you sent me the photos, it looks like it was intentional and still works, like he's looking up having spotted something. Or something has seem him!
Marvelous work m'dear!

yeah he was supposed to be leaning back a little, but he went further that i wanted so i had to make the base at a funny angle to get him back where i wanted him. and i'm glad you are imagining him doing exactly what i had intended to make him look as if he were doing! huzzah! also thankies muchly for ze compliment!
